Drugstore Delights: Revlon Lip Butters

*Purchased

I’m sure some of you reading are thinking…another blogger raving about lip butters. You pretty much got that right.

Chelsea from Olive and Ivy let us know on the CBB Facebook group that Shoppers Drug Mart had some Revlon lip products on sale for 3.99 CAD (compared to around $10 CAD normally). I also recently got an email from Shoppers Drug Mart letting me know it was 20x the Optimum points for $25 purchases and over. I actually have never seen a 20x the points for anything less than a $50 purchase so I thought I would trek out to Shoppers.

I bought one lip butter to add to the other 3 that I have. Here are the swatchs of my mini collection.

Juicy Papya – Tutti Frutti – Peach Parfait – Wild Watermelon

For those that haven’t tried them, I highly recommend them. They do not dry out your lips and add the perfect hint of colour. I would say for those that aren’t interested in a super pigmented lipstick these are a great option.

Regular price they are definitely a bit more pricey than some other drugstore products (is it me, or is the drugstore starting to look more expensive every year…) but they I would say worth it. They have a great colour selection so you should be able to find one that fits your fancy!

I believe the sale at Shoppers Drug Mart is still on for a couple days (until May 22nd, 2015) so if you want to grab a couple this is the time to do it!

Thanks for reading! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. Loveeee the Revlon lip butters. I'm skipping this sale since I'm supposed to be on a spending ban and I already own most of the colours I want (7!). There's only 2 I would be interested in that I don't already have but I don't think I'm going to get that much use out of them. I think I need to start collecting Almay butter kiss balms instead!

  2. I've never tried these (solely because I'm a high pigmented lip girl) but these really are great for those that prefer the natural lip look and honestly, who doesn't want moisturized lips?! As much as I love matte lipsticks… my lips don't!

  3. Fair enough! I would say I am 50/50. I'm so bad at touching up and especially if I was at school or something I needed a no-fuss product. Oh I totally know about the matte lip struggle!

  4. I hoarded so many revlon things when they were $3.99 at london drugs last year too. Juicy papaya is my favourite!! Awesome choice! 😀

  5. Drugstore prices are definitely getting a bit scary. I think these are all in the $10+ range and that's like… EXCUSE ME?!?! I do love the Revlon lip butters though… I've used up about five of them!

  6. Ooo not sure if the 20x the points is still on now! It might have been just a Victorias Day special to get people in the door. The revlon lip butters are still on sale till Friday I believe though! Whah, sorry Megan!

  7. Yes I think Juicy Papaya is a go to for a lot of people! Yeah I know the feeling. Once you hit a point where you have all the ones you like. Wild watermelon is the new one I got and I'm loving it so far!

  8. Lol! I will take that as a compliment. I really need to write a standalone post proclaiming my love for them some time.

  9. Yay! I'm so glad you also love these lip butters! There are quite a bit of mixed reviews and the only issue I've had was the shimmer in peach parfait but otherwise I love them all and how they look and feel! Wished we had Juicy Papaya and Wild watermelon here! I would totally buy them!

  10. Yes! I totally agree with the shimmer in Peach Parfait. Surprisingly though, it's my most used lip butter haha. I think that will change during this summer though! Yes, Juicy Papaya seems like a universal favourite. Hopefully the shades are released to you soon!

  11. Okay wow I thought it was only me!! I noticed that my Juicy Papaya is melted as well. Not unusable, but very very 'juicy' I guess haha.

  12. Yeah I had mine in my purse on a super hot day last summer and it got really melty and I've tried putting it in the freezer and stuff and it just won't re-harden. It's not usable either because it's super sticky so it's so hard to apply haha but that's okay because I got a new one thanks to this sale 🙂

  13. Oh wow! Yeah that definitely sounds worse for wear. Especially with trying the freezer! Thanks again for letting us know about the sale! 😀 Such a good time to pick up a few treats. 😉
