Hello! Earlier this month I got the chance to attend a Make Up For Ever event for the launch of their new Artist Rouge lipsticks. Make Up For Ever is probably one of my favourite brands. A lot of their products were love at first swatch and these lipsticks were no exception! I had such a fun night with some other beauty blogger friends plus I got to see an old friend from school!

Before the event, we waited outside on the ‘red carpet’ with a few cute little things representing the brand. A cute bus along with some advertisements for the new lipstick line.

Once we got inside it was almost a sensory overload. There was an artist doing these amazing paintings completely using the Artist Rouge lipsticks. Pretty incredible!

They also had the entire collection out for people to play around with. Look at all of those colours!

I feel like a staple at these events are a quality photobooth. I’m pictured here with a crazy (amazing) blue lipstick (C630) and Katherine from The Green Bows.

Another really incredible part of the night was the live dancers they had. Here is just a short clip of their performance!

After the night was over, we got a chance to take home two random colours from the new collection.

I received M401 (Hot Red) and C502 (Taupe Violet). I was so happy to receive the violet just because I’ve been interested in some crazy lips lately!

Both apply smoothly and evenly. . As with all reds, I have trouble lining my lips cleanly! Each lipstick tube has some nice weight to it, and feels super luxurious.

All in all, I had a great time at the Artist Rouge launch event and also playing around with two of their new lipstick colours. I look forward to trying out some more from the collection. Maybe the mint green anyone?!

The Artist Rouge lipsticks sell at Sephora for $27 CAD

  1. This looks like fun! I really want to go to a brand launch event. I feel like they always leave a great impression. That lipstick art is amazing! Super cool that you also got to pick up some lipsticks. The light purple shade looks lovely 🙂
