Philosophy Skin Care: Bits and Bobs

philosophy skincare

Philosophy is a brand that I’ve started to really love thanks to a gift set that I got the Christmas before last. It’s a brand that I always sort of saw (anyone remember the Sephora Philosophy shower gel birthday gift?) but never really dove into. I’m going to do a short post today with mini reviews of the items. (Only been a year in the making….haha!)

1. Purity Made Simple

It’s a very basic cleanser. I keep a bottle of this in my shower to wash off my makeup. You can rub it all over your eyes and everything (which I like). As it’s such a basic cleanser, I find it take a bit of rubbing to make sure everything is off. Once my face is clean though, my skin feels fresh and soft, never stripped of moisture

2. Renewed Hope in a Jar

This made my Best of Beauty 2016. I love the consistency of this. It’s a light, almost gel-like consistency. It sinks into the skin quickly and gives the right amount of moisture without feeling too greasy! Highly recommend!

3. Renewed Hope in a Jar Night

I love this night cream as well. It’s in a completely differently consistency than the regular Renewed Hope in a Jar. It’s more of a balm consistency and I think it feels great going on for the night. Definitely a night cream I turn towards a lot.

4. Time in a Bottle

This is one product that I’m sort of meh over. It’s an interesting concept because you actually add a serum into the main product and shake it up. It’s supposed to all mix together and volia, you have Time in a Bottle. I think maybe because I’m not quite the intended target, but for the price, I’m not sure if I’d personally repurchase again.

5. Microdelivery Peel

So this is a really interesting product. It’s a 2 step…mask? Sort of? I had a noticeable difference in my skin right after using it. The only thing is that since it’s a 2 step process, it’s a bit longer versus a sheet mask or mud mask. I think I might just be lazy though haha. I think it’s a product worth trying though as it makes the texture of your skin SO much better!

And there we go! A few micro reviews of some Philosophy products. I can’t wait to try more!

Any favourite Philosophy products that I should check out?

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

  1. I don’t know how I have never heard of this brand before, the packaging is everything I look for in a product. Sleek and simple yet stunning at the same time.
I’ve been looking out for a new night cream, I think I may have found which one I’m going to try next. Thank you!
