First Impressions: Lancome Matte Shaker

This is a bit of an unexpected post as I was planning just to use this on Instagram. On the weekend I redeemed some of my Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Points for the new Lancome Matte Shaker in Pink Power. I’ve been hearing so many great things about this and was excited to finally give it a go!

I have never tried the original Lancome Juicy Shaker but the concept is so cute. Both are in a little martini shaker that you shake to both mix the product and also dispense on the applicator.

The colour Pink Power is totally up my alley (a bright magenta). The first thing I noticed on application was the AMAZING pigmentation. I experimented a bit with the applicator by first dragging it over my lips and then dabbing more product on top. I was actually really impressed that I was able to get a pretty crisp application considering the large tip (this is coming from someone who can’t get a straight lipstick line to save her life).

Not only does this have great pigmentation, bit it wears so well. It dries down matte, but it’s not uncomfortable in the slightest. I haven’t testing it in all scenarios for longevity, but I was able to enjoy some snacks without it getting all messed up. This is pretty much transfer proof other than a tiny bit of residue.

As you can see from the lip swatch, it’s the perfect summer lip colour. It reminds me of that perfect popsicle stain.

I can’t wait to try out more colours of these! Pretty much every colour is on my list. Once I get my hands on other colours I’m hoping to do a full swatch post.
