Event Recap: #NYXClassof2016 Prom

#NYXClassOf2016

A few weeks ago I got dolled up and attended Prom 2.0 with some of my favourite beauty blogging ladies. NYX held a Prom event to promote their new CF Eaton Centre store opening in downtown Toronto. The decor, the music, the food, and the people were just fantastic! I had a great time and thought I would share the experience with you all!

The event was held in a church. The entire main room looked fantastic with balloons and pink banners everywhere. NYX was also supporting a great charity, New Circles. Among other things, the charity provides gently used prom dresses to girls in underprivileged circumstances. You can learn more about the charity here. I brought 3 gently used dresses to donate. Cleaning out my closet for a good cause? Sign me up!

In the middle of the room, NYX had a huge lip-shaped display that we could sign. As you can see, I planned very poorly. Almost didn’t have enough room for my handle!

NYX had a couple of cute vanities set up with some of their projects featured in it. Had to snap some pics!

There was dancing, photo booths and some time to chat with other beauty bloggers! At the end of the night, we were also graciously given a cute backpack with some ‘school’ essentials.

The backpack was NYX branded with a colouring book filled with their ‘gurus’, some pencil crayons, and their Beauty School Dropout palette in ‘Graduate’. The branding and theme were just spot on!

I plan to do a full review of the Beauty School Dropout palette, so keep your eyes open for that one! (Anyone else humming Beauty School Dropout from Grease?)

I had such a fun time at NYX Prom Night. They really did it up, and it was just a wonderful evening out with a lot of beautiful people! 🙂

Thanks for reading, hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. The swag bag is so cute! Sounds like such a fun event (why Vancouver why you no have good things. But also, please visit Vancouver some day. 🙂 ) That’s awesome that they are accepting dress donations; I have a few dresses that I bought a while ago but not wearing them anymore!

    1. Yes I want to visit Vancouver so badly! Looks like so much fun!

But yeah the branding and theme were spot on. I actually use backpack a LOT. Yeah the dress donations was a great idea. I donate my clothes a lot, but just never thought to donate formal dresses. I’m glad that they can be reused instead of sitting in my closet!
