Haul: Sephora VIB Sale (Spring 2017)

sephora VIB sale

It’s that time of year again. The flowers are poking through, the air is a bit warmer, and beauty lovers descend in droves for the Sephora bi-annual sale. The sale just passed, and I was able to pick up a couple of items. I thought I was decently restrained, but I’ll let you be the judge of that!

1. Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette

The Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette ($52 CAD) was something that I’ve been eyeing for a bit. I loveeee metallic shades for the eyes so I thought this would be perfect. I heard mixed things on this palette so I wasn’t too sure what to think. All in all, I like this but don’t love it. I like it enough to keep it, but it’s definitely not the best palette I have. I find that the metallics show up nice, but after a couple of hours of wear they can look a bit muddy, or have faded a bit. Anyways, as I said, I like it enough to keep it, so I think i’ll continue to try and play around with the colours!

2. Milk Makeup Vibes Vibes Vibes Set

With Milk Makeup now readily available as Sephora, I was looking to jump into a couple of items from them. To try out the brand, I ended up picking up the Vibes Vibes Vibes kit ($59 CAD). I can honestly say that this kit is very pricey for what it is. I thought it would be worth it for me though because I NEVER end up finishing makeup items and I wanted to get a well rounded view of Milk Makeup. This set contains four of their popular stick products.

3. Milk Makeup Holographic Stick in Supernova

Speaking of Milk Makeup, another product I got was their Holographic Stick in Supernova ($34 CAD). I am so happy I got this. It’s the most original highlighter I have, but surprisingly wearable. I’ve worn this a couple of times, and it gives the skin the most incredible glow. You can diffuse it a bit if the purple colour is a bit too harsh, or leave it shining for the heavens to see!

4. Sephora Super Nourishing Lip Balm and Mini Solid Brush Cleaner

Two other more random choices were the Sephora Super Nourishing Lip Balm ($5 CAD on sale) and the Sephora Mini Solid Brush Cleaner ($10 CAD). I’ve used the lip balm before and I liked it, so since I saw it on sale, I decided to grab it. With the brush cleaner, I’ve been waiting to try this for awhile, so I finally decided to pick this up during the sale. I actually didn’t realize I bough the smaller size, but I guess it’s a good tester if anything!

5. BITE Beauty Love, BITE Kit

Last but not least is one of my favourites from the sale (and a last minute purchase). The Love, BITE set ($45 CAD) had been on my list for awhile, but it was always showing as out of stock. When I put in my first order with all the items above, this was unfortunately still out of stock. It wasn’t until the last day of the sale that I saw it was in stock, so I had to grab it! The kit comes with two of their Multisticks and a Prismatic Pearl Creme Lip Gloss. All of these items I haven’t tried from BITE (quite surprising considering how obsessed I am with the brand) so I thought it was totally worth it!

And there we have my haul from the most recent Sephora spring sale! What did you pick up from the sale? I always love to read hauls so if you have one up, feel free to link it in the comments! I’ll definitely check it out!

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

    1. Thanks Nicole! Isn’t the bag adorable! It’s apparently also waterproof! The holographic stick is super amazing! My cheeks have been popping lately!

  1. I love the solid brush cleanser, dang I should’ve picked a back up too. Will do so for next sale! I haven’t tried the Sephora lip balms before, will add that to my loves!! I’m curious to try their new cleansers too.

    1. I’m so excited to try it! My brushes need it so badly haha.

Yeah! They’re pretty good, and since this one was on sale it’s pretty much the same as drugstore prices.

  2. I also got that tarte palette and I’m sooo surprised it wasn’t sold out by the time the sale hit. I was expecting that thing to go FAST! I haven’t worn it yet, but what you’ve said about the colours getting kinda smooshed together/muddy is exactly what I was worried about looking at that shade range. While there are varying colours, there’s not a whole heck of a lot dissimilarities in tone which I think is the big downfall. Anyway, I’m eager to try it!

    1. It’s so stunning! I was a little worried that it would look a too intergalactic, but it’s actually super wearable! It’s such a great deal! I get pulled into BITE sets so easily!
