Review: THEFACESHOP Chia Seed Skincare Line

Hello!! I’ve had so much skincare I’ve been trying out lately, and here’s a collection to add to that! THEFACESHOP has a couple of collections, and months ago I was sent the Chia Seed line to try out. I was very excited to try this because it’s made for normal-oily skin!

Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam

Starting off with the cleansing foam, I was surprised how thick this was. It’s the consistency of a cream. While washing, it foams up pretty well and my face feels clean. One thing about this was that I noticed while washing the cleanser off, it gave a ‘squeaky’ clean to my skin so I felt I was somewhat pulling my skin. It’s a weird sensation to explain as I’ve never experienced this with a cleanser. Since this is made for oily skin, it could be the lack of oils within the cleanser? Not sure. Either way, I did feel my skin was clean and ready for moisturizer!

Chia Seed No Shine Intense Hydrating Cream

Next up is the hydrating cream. ‘Hydrating cream’ is something that myself (and probably other oily folks) can say that I steer clear from. This was a surprise though as I LOVE this cream! It’s very similar to the belief Aqua Bomb cream (which I reviewed here). The consistency is cooling and it sinks into the skin quickly. This cream provides moisture, but it doesn’t make my skin feel overly greasy. Definitely a hit in my books!

Chia Seed Hydrating Emulsion

This is a somewhat new product to me. I didn’t know what to expect with an emulsion, but I was excited to see. Essentially, it’s a very lightweight cream (with a watery consistency). I was actually surprised how much I like this. For my skin it worked quite similarly to a regular facial cream I would use. I can see myself switching up my regular daily moisturizer for this!

All in all I’m very happy with the THEFACESHOP’s Chia Seed line. My skin feels refreshed without feeling greasy! I want to look into the face wipes that are in this line as well!

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!!

    1. Yeah for sure, I don’t think the cleanser would be best for your skin, but the emulsion is definitely something that a person with dry skin could use as well I think!
