Brand Collections: Cheekbone Beauty

cheeckbone beauty haul

It’s been awhile since I’ve been excited about new makeup products. It might be because I’ve fallen slightly out of love with chasing up with the latest and greatest launches. I have so many fantastic products in my collection which has been great to rediscover some things. With that being said, I have some fantastic lip products to showcase today. I learned about Cheeckbone Beauty some time ago when owner Jenn Harper pitched on Dragons’ Den. I’ve been debating a purchase for a long time and finally took the plunge recently!

Review: Mary Kay Intuitive pH Lip Balm

Mary Kay Intuitive pH Lip Balm

I’ll be honest, since my time outside has been limited, my makeup has been pretty simple. I was never really one to go for the no-makeup-makeup look, but I find myself going towards it more and more. Even when I was full faced on the regular, lip balm is a must. My lips are EXTREMELY dry almost at all times. When Mary Kay sent these new Intuitive pH Lip Balms, I was curious to see how they would perform.

Review: Joico Zero Heat for Fine/Medium Hair

joico zero heat review

Hello there! Today I have a review on the Joico Zero Heat for Fine/Medium Hair. When I saw this review opportunity posted on Chick Advisor, I jumped at the chance to put my name in. This product is supposed to help tame frizz with ‘zero heat’. I feel like I haven’t used heat products in awhile (just from being inside), but the frizz is REAL with my hair. If there’s anyone that could put it to the test, my hair definitely can!

Review: My Favourite Facial Oils

favourite facial oils

A skincare product I’ve started to use more and more has been facial oils. I feel like facial oils have really exploded in the last little while and I’ve collected a few that I really like. Recently, I’ve been using more skincare than makeup. This is just due to being inside with quarantine and not really feeling like doing a full face.

Review: Frank and Oak Style Plan Subscription Service

frank and oak style plan

Hello! Wow it’s been awhile! Today we have a bit of a different post, a review of the Frank and Oak Style Plan. This is a post that I’ve had in my mind for a while, but wanted to make sure I had enough experience before making a post. I signed up for this on my own and utilized my own funds for this box. I hope this is helpful as I know when I was trying to find blog reviews of the subscription service, I mostly found one box reviews. My review is for the three boxes that I’ve received.

2019, Year of the Cat: Adopting, Integrating, Losing

Hi All! This will be a much different post than my usual offering. Not that I don’t have a few posts that need attending too, but I’ve been looking to do this for awhile. My last post was some time ago, late November. The next day after that post was published, we unfortunately lost one of our cats, Pebble. 2019 has been a bit of a whirlwind. We adopted two cats, got used to living with them, then unfortunately lost one. This post will outline the journey that we’ve had as it’s been pretty much the majority of 2019.

First Impressions: Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde + Swatches

huda beauty mercury retrograde palette

With it being Sephora Sale Season (you still have one day left for the sale! Code is HOLIDAYSAVE, expires Nov 11, 2019), I was going back and forth with the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette. I haven’t been buying makeup lately, one, because I’m adulting and paying bills and spoiling my cats, and two, there just haven’t been many releases that have excited me. At a time when consumers are getting more conscious of their consumption, it’s surprising that companies have been ramping up production of new releases like no one’s business. I took to Twitter to help me make a decision. It was close, but the Yays triumphed. I dumped some other things in my basket and went for this. I have to say, I’m in love so far.
