Beauty Destinations: The Burren Perfumery

burren perfumery

Hi friends! A bit of a different post today. Recently my friend and her family took a trip to Ireland and they came across a cute shop while there called The Burren Perfumery. They brought me back some goodies to try and I thought I would share those along with a bit about the store itself.

I so regret not being able to experience this place in person, but from what I hear it was magical. The Burren Perfumery is a family run business located in West of Ireland. They make small batches of soap, creams, essential oils, and more. Their products are inspired by the landscape with 70% of Ireland’s wildflowers being found in the area.

Onsite, they also have a Tea Room where they serve homemade and local baked goods. Doesn’t this place just seem like a dream come true?

You can tell from the images on their website that the landscape really adds to the adventure of this place. When my friend and her family went, they said they spent hours here, mulling around and learning about the local plants of the region.

The two gracious gifts I received from their travels are the Lost Garden Bar Soap and the Sweet Orange and Honey Organic Beeswax Lip Balm. Things are hand packaged, and I love the look of the labels. Such an understated beauty.

I’m not usually someone who would pick a bar soap, but I’m so excited to try this one. The scent is extremely unique, but pleasant. It’s described as “A fragrant bouquet of soft florals with wild rose at the heart”. This scent is not too floraly at all and it just smells so fresh.

The lip balm I’ve been using for a couple of weeks now. I am usually very picky with my lip balms and this one is up to snuff. I usually put this on at night (since I don’t wear potted lip balm during the day). This slides on smooth, and still gives the right moisture. I wouldn’t say it’s as strong as the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask, but this is almost a softer version of it. I’ll definitely be using this throughout the winter.

The Burren Perfumery seems like a dream and it apparently was. If you’re travelling to Ireland, I would definitely try and check out this place. From the reviews I got from my friend and her family, I’m debating going to Ireland just to check this place out!

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!
