#OOTD: TWIK by Simons

It’s rare that I do outfit or fashion posts just because I wouldn’t really consider myself a very stylish person. I can say that I definitely do try but I wouldn’t say I have that ‘eye’ to pick out pieces that look good. In comes ChickAdvisor with their latest campaign with Simons. I don’t think there was a campaign that I wanted more than this one. We were given a $100 credit and had the task to pick out at least 2 items from a set of pre-determined items. Lets just say that I loved many more than 2 of the items and decided to buy a bunch. I have a couple of ways I styled the pieces which was super fun!

Outfit #1: Casual Cute

First up is a casual outfit that would work great for running off to class. The skirt is also great for work as well, I’ve worn it with a sweater to make it more office-appropriate. The t-shirt is super comfortable, has a flattering cut, and VERY soft. Definitely a go-to for the weekends for me!

The plaid skirt is super adorable. I wore it to a recent event and I had a ton of compliments. The bow is actually not sewn together, which means you can actually untie it. This is both bad and good just because you have to be careful how it’s tied, but this also gives you the flexibility to play around with it!

Skirt: TWIK Mega Bow Skirt ($49)

Outfit #2 Emo Forever

All black everything with a pop of colour! I actually really like how this outfit came out, but that’s partly cause it gave me an excuse to wear Stone Fox by NYX. I really can’t get enough of that colour!

Back to the outfit. The shirt is actually made out of a crepe-y material which you don’t see too often in black shirts. The roses up the arms are super flattering and the embroidery is very pretty. I actually really like how it ends up looking with the faux leather leggings. When I first opened up the leggings, I wasn’t too sure how to feel. The fabric seemed extremely thin and almost like plastic. Actually on though, they fit pretty well and do conform to my legs. They do rumple a bit in places, but that’s just due to my leg shape (I pretty much face this with all pants or leggings).

Top: TWIK Sporty Stripe Blouse ($39)

Leggings: TWIK Faux Leather Leggings ($19 (on sale))

Shoes are Nike Free Runs.

Outfit #3 Simple Glam

I’ll just say that I don’t wear crop tops too often, but this one I just couldn’t resist. It has a tie in the front (which is a bit hard to see in my picture), but it creates a very flattering hourglass shape with the triangular cut. The shirt is also extremely soft. Definitely makes it an easy piece to integrate into a wardrobe!

The skirt is also super cute and very easy to wear. The zipper is fully functional which adds a definite edge to the outfit. I wish this skirt was lined though with the working zipper just to add that extra layer of protection and keeping everything where it should be!

I wore this outfit to an event and my makeup was done by the wonderful LJ over at Anything But Marzipan with Inglot! I asked her to do a 90s glam-grunge look and she nailed it! It definitely helped to pull the outfit together!

And there we have three outfit of the day’s featuring some TWIK by Simons outfits. Simons is one of my FAVOURITE stores actually. TWIK is one of their many house brands that caters to younger crowds/ me. They also actually sell lots of brand name items which is great to pull an entire outfit together. I’m totally obsessed with Simons and the love affair grows stronger with these new TWIK pieces in my wardrobe!
