Review: Zoella Beauty Jelly and Gelato Collection

Zoella Beauty Jelly and Gelato

If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of cute. Cute anything really. Puppies? Sure. Babies? Why not? Makeup packaging? Now we’re getting crazy. Zoella Beauty, the line created by Zoe Sugg of YouTube super stardom, introduced a new collection called Jelly and Gelato. We are talking out of this world adorableness with the colouring, the packages, and the products themselves. You can definitely see the ‘jelly and gelato’ influences all over the place. I have three items from the collection to showcase for you guys so we’ll get right into it.

Shower Shake

We’ll start with one of the body washes, the Shower Shake ($10.99 CAD). The packaging itself is just so adorable. It’s in a soft plastic tube with a matte finish. The little straw sticking out at the top is also a really cute touch.

This is marketed as a moisturizing body wash and I can say that’s definitely true. It’s extremely thick and very similar to a body cream actually. This doesn’t foam up as much due to this, but you definitely still feel clean afterwards.

Shower Sauce

Next up is the Shower Sauce ($9.99), which is much more similar to a traditional body wash. It’s very ‘syrupy’ which makes it really perfect for this collection. Comparative to the Shower Shake, this one actually foams up a lot. Even though this one is not a ‘moisturizing’ body wash, this definitely did not strip my skin and I felt clean and refreshed after using it!

Bath Wafers

The Bath Wafers ($9.99) is very similar to the Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar ($9.99). I also found this worked very similar to the Fizz Bar so they are definitely of a similar formulation. I would say this is definitely more for a ‘fragranced soak’ versus expecting it to be similar to a Lush bath bomb. This fizzed a bit but definitely not at the level that a bath bomb would. This definitely would create a scent to the water thought which was nice for rest and relaxation!

Final Verdict

Zoella Beauty Jelly and Gelato

So something I didn’t talk about at all for the specific reviews were the scents. All three of these have a similar scent so I could imagine the collection was definitely based around the scent. And sadly….I did not love the scent. It wasn’t overly offensive, but compared to the original Zoella Beauty scent, this one is just meh. It’s a sweet fruity scent but with almost a bit of a sour undertone to it. It’s unfortunate, but definitely not a deterrent for me to finish the products!

In Canada, the Zoella Beauty Jelly and Gelato line can be found at London Drugs!

Anything catch your eye in the collection? Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

    1. Yeah it’s funny, we had pretty much the exact same comments other than the preference of scent!! 🙂 I enjoyed reading yours too Shireen! Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. I haven’t heard of Zoe Sugg 😱 but I’ve seen this line getting reviewed lately. They do have the most adorable packaging! The scent you described might actually be something I like. 😅 We don’t have London Drug here though, just Shoppers and Rexall. I wonder if it will be coming to either of those stores.

    1. Oh really! Haha I’m impressed! She is definitely one of the most popular British lifestyle/ beauty vloggers. The packaging is super cute right? I know, it’s sad, I live on the central/ east side too with no access to London Drugs. 🙁 I hope they expand their distribution soon!
