Brand Collection: Mary Kay Chromafusion Top Picks

Custom palettes are always a hit for me. I feel like I end up using pretty specific colours for my eyeshadows so being able to pick exactly what I want is very appealing. In the fall, Mary Kay launched their Chromafusion line. Mary Kay markets these shadows as 12 hour wear which is pretty impressive. I had the lucky chance to check out ALL the colours in the collection and I picked my favs.

Out of the collection I picked 2 blushes, 1 bronzer, 1 highlighter, and 22 shadows I tried to do each horizontal line with a cohesive theme. In general, I’m super pleased with the colours that made it into my palette.

Line #1: Chai Latte Look-a-Like

Moonstone – Gold Status – Golden Mauve – Cinnabar – Hot Fudge – Mahogany – Shiny Penny

My first line is one of my favs. One of the most boring, but I’ll take it. This reminds me so much of one of the Maybelline quads I used to love, Chai Latte. I’m sure you used have that one too! I love the pigmentation on the brown and taupe. The shimmers are so nice as a base too! I’ve been using this line a lot and really liking it!

Line #2 – Dusty Rose Ambition

Smokey Quartz – Soft Heather – Burnished Bronze – Sweet Plum – Dusty Rose – Merlot

I’m obsessed with Soft Heather. It looks so similar to Buon Fresco in the ABH Modern Renaissance. I love this whole line obviously though. I’ve been more and more leaning towards pink hued shadows and this really highlights that recent trend for me.

Line #3: Green and Free

Cashmere Haze – Granite – Emerald Noir – Moss – Espresso

This is more of a ‘colours I’m attracted to’ versus ‘colours I wear on a daily basis’.  I honestly can’t stop looking at Emerald Noir, isn’t it just stunning? I would love to use more greens in my routine, and this line definitely helps me accomplish that!

Line #4 Midnight Sky

Candlelight – Rose Gold – Evening Navy – Shadow

This one I mixed two shimmers with two mattes. Evening Navy is completely unique in my collection and the pigmentation on that one! Wooo! Also another unique colour is Shadow. I don’t have a lot of blue toned greys either!

Face Powders

Shy Blush – Juicy Peach – Glazed – Latte

I really like the face powders on these too. I lean towards the soft pinks, but also really love peach blushes! The highlight and the contour are also nice for a full look!

Mini Palette

Wineberry – Crystalline

There is also a mini palette. This little baby one can fit 4 shadows or like I’ve done, a blush and shadow. It’s unrealistic for me to take a quad really on the go with me, so I decided on a blush and an eyeshadow as a highlight! Both very pretty colours!

So what do you think of my choices? Any favs?

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!
